Resource Modules for ECE Facilities Projects
Are you an existing ECE provider who is thinking about renovating, expanding, or opening a new facility? Are you looking to open your first Early Learning Center or FCC? Or are you someone who is interested in ECE and is not sure where to start? Opening or expanding a facility can be challenging, so we have created some resources to give providers more information about the process. Agenda for Children, in partnership with Learning Matters and K. Jones Advisors, has produced 8 training modules that go over different parts of opening or improving an ECE facility.
Eboni Walker with Learning Matters created six modules on different aspects of opening a new ECE facility including project planning, finding a facility, important regulations, design and construction, creating quality learning environments, and Family Child Care facilities (Modules A to F). Kristyna Jones of K. Jones Advisors produced two finance-related modules on ECE facility finance and creating a financing package (Modules I & II).
The videos range in length from about 35 to 55 minutes and include a presentation and interview with a subject matter expert. Each module includes a video, a text transcript, and a quiz to test your understanding of the materials. These modules will provide the background information you need to know before getting started with your project.
Please note that every project is different. If you have questions about your specific project, please reach out to Agenda for Children’s Director of Facilities.
