The Louisiana Department of Education is Again Accepting Child Care Management Software Reimbursement Applications!

The Louisiana Department of Education’s Child Care Management Software Initiative is designed to help Type III centers and CCAP-registered Family Child Care Providers purchase Child Care Management Software.

Type III and CCAP-eligible registered Family Child Cares (FCC’s) are eligible for a reimbursement for a CCMS annual subscription for new annual subscriptions purchased between July 1, 2023 and June 15, 2024.

Providers utilizing eligible CCMS products can receive 80% of the annual subscription (up to $1,000).

*NOTE: If your purchase is less than $1,000, you will receive a reimbursement of 80% of your total purchase cost (ex. total purchase is $800 – you will receive a reimbursement of $640). If your purchase is over $1,000, you will receive a maximum reimbursement of $1,000 (ex. total purchase is $2,000 – you will receive a reimbursement of $1,000).

Eligible CCMSi Software for Reimbursement:

  • Alliance CORE, powered by Early Learning Ventures
  • Brightwheel
  • ChildWatch Remarkable Systems, Inc.
  • Smartcare, a Vanco company

*NOTE: As of July 1, 2022 the LDOE will no longer subsidize the cost of the following CCMS software systems, because they do not meet the API requirements in order to integrate with EdLink:

  • Procare
  • Famly
  • Kangarootime
  • Wonderschool

All applications are due by June 15, 2024.

Please note: The LDOE will only permit reimbursements for new annual subscriptions purchased between July 1, 2021 and June 15, 2024.

Overview of the Child Care Management Software Initiative Process

Step 1 – Learn about Child Care Management Software (CCMS) by reviewing the Child Care Management Software Guidebook.
Step 2 – Purchase an annual subscription from an eligible CCMS vendor listed in the guidebook.
Step 3 – Fill out the CCMSi application, save it and email it to ccmsi@agendaforchildren.org with  a copy of your receipt or PAID invoice.
Step 4 – Agenda for Children will review  your application and seek reimbursement from LDOE on your behalf. You can expect payment within 6 weeks of your submission of a complete and accurate application.
Step 5 – Schedule training (through the CCMS vendor) and CCMS Implementation Support Contractor (if needed).
Step 6 – Receive training and initial set-up of the CCMS.
Step 7 – Enjoy saving time and money with your new automated operations.
