Directors Collaboration Meetings
We offer regular Directors’ Collaboration Meetings to help directors network and learn more about important topics. These sessions are completely free, and open to directors (and other administrators) at Type I, Type II and Type III centers, as well as family child care providers.

Please join us for a Discussion on “A Day Without Child Care” by our Advocacy Director Courtney Rogers and a presentation by the New Orleans Public Library on their Early Education Outreach Services. We will also discuss the results from the CCAP Concerns Survey and the latest Louisiana Department of Education and Agenda for Children updates.

Please join us for a special presentation on the Geaux Far Coalition, an early education advocacy coalition Co Chaired by Libbie Sonnier and Rochelle Wilcox. We will also share a CCAP survey developed by Agenda for Children to understand key CCAP issues providers are experiencing and discuss the latest Louisiana Department of Education and Agenda for Children updates.

Join us for a special two-hour workshop, Adverse Childhood Experiences, during December’s monthly Directors Meeting. Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and toxic stress can jeopardize the critical development period of early childhood by overwhelming physiological stress systems and potentially altering brain structure. Attendees will learn how ACEs have been found to be linked to lifelong challenges, and will be introduced to early prevention and intervention strategies that can significantly improve outcomes.
