Professional Development Workshops Improve the Quality of Early Care and Education
We offer a variety of workshops to support educators and leaders in deepening their understanding of early care and education topics while receiving Pathways-approved professional development clock hours. We also offer customized professional development workshops for all program types.
Current Workshops
Our workshops help educators and leaders build their skills in CLASS, developmentally appropriate practices, curriculum and assessment, and so much more. We offer Lunch & Learns, evening sessions, and Saturday seminars, allowing educators and leaders to receive Pathways-approved professional development clock hours on their own schedules. Additionally, many of our workshops are held virtually.
Updated CPR/Pediatric First Aid Requirements
In compliance with federal requirements, on September 30, 2021, Louisiana began monitoring that staff at all licensed child care centers have current certification in CPR/Pediatric First Aid through training approved by LDOE. This is a change from previous rules, which required only 50% of staff members to have current certification.
The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) – Division of Licensing is assisting licensed providers and Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) certified family home and in‐home providers with obtaining CPR/Pediatric First Aid for their staff for free or at minimal cost. Click below to find a list of CPR/Pediatric First Aid vendors that are approved to be paid by LDOE.
