Joyful Journeys Summit
Registration is NOW Open!
Orleans Parish educators of children ages birth through 8 are invited to join us for this FREE, IN-PERSON event at the University of Holy Cross. The Joyful Journeys Summit begins on Thursday, January 11th with a two-day Conscious Discipline workshop series that includes six hours of learning and collaboration, as well as complimentary snacks and lunch each day. Then, on January 13th the journey continues with a full day of activities that encourage child and educator wellness. Highlights include a keynote speaker, panel conversation, and a chair yoga workshop. Participants will have an opportunity to visit community partners for health screenings, and will gather information and resources for supporting their own well-being and that of the children in their care. Following Saturday’s lunch, there will be live music, Zydeco dancing, and door prizes! Learn more in the dropdown menu below.

Eligibility to Attend
This event will be offered with free registration to educators of children ages birth-8 who work at a childcare center or school in Orleans Parish.

Meet the Keynote
Meet Tonya Byous, Certified Instructor, Conscious Discipline
Tonya is dedicated to the field of education. She is an advocate, instructor, coach, and mentor. Her introduction to Conscious Discipline was life changing. Tonya’s focus is to ensure that educators have access to transformational information and to be the support to help them sharpen skills. She lives by the moto: Charity first, service to others, and to use your God given talent.
In addition to delivering a keynote address on January 13th, Tonya will also facilitate the 2-day Conscious Discipline workshop on January 11th and 12th.
