Little Literacy Fairs
Registration coming in September!
Orleans Parish educators of children ages birth through Pre-K are invited to attend one of our Fall Little Literacy Fairs! This year’s fairs will take place on October 22nd for Pre-K teachers and November 7th for teachers working in Birth-3 classrooms.
Our Little Literacy Fairs engage participants in a series of hands-on activities in our model classroom, offer a chance to preview children’s books in our library cafe, provide networking opportunities and visits with vendors to pick up swag, and so much more! Our staff will be on hand modeling best practices for creating engaging and meaningful read-a-louds, and participants can snag other goodies and giveaways for their classroom and classroom libraries.
Pre-registration is required and admission is limited*, so grab your spot today!
Save the date for this year’s Little Literacy Fairs:
- Thursday, October 22nd from 3:00-4:30 PM (Pre-K Teachers)
- Thursday, October 22nd from 4:30-6:00 PM (Pre-K Teachers)
- Saturday, November 7th from 9:00-10:30 AM (Birth-3 Teachers)
- Saturday, November 7th from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM (Birth-3 Teachers)
*Please note that this is NOT a standard workshop and is a go-at-your-own-pace event. Eligible Orleans Parish educators may register for one session that aligns with their classroom setting and may only attend the session for which they are registered. Participants will receive one clock hour for attending. Giveaways are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

- Orleans Parish educators of children ages birth through Pre-K are invited to join us for this FREE, IN-PERSON event at Agenda for Children's Office and Model Classroom. Please be sure to register for the correct session based on the age of children you teach.
- How do I register?
- Check back soon for registration, which opens in September!
- Is this a 2 hour workshop?
- No, this event is go-at-your-own-pace, meaning participants will have the flexibility to browse and engage with activities on their own, with guided support from Agenda for Children staff and early childhood experts. Upon completion of activities, participants will receive one clock hour and may also earn prizes while supplies last!
- How should I dress?
- Please dress comfortably but professionally for your experience at the fair. You are welcome to dress as a children's book character for extra fun!
- What time is check in?
- Admission will begin promptly at the scheduled session start time. If you miss your session, you will not be able to attend a different session as sessions are scheduled to capacity and there is no overflow.
