March: Hands-On Happy!
Agenda for Children invites you to spend a day with us in our Model Classroom on Monday, March 9, 2026!
Join a small group of educators as we cycle through three hands-on workshops that help you get creative in the classroom setup, planning literacy activities, and putting art into action. You’ll earn six clock hours as we work through Big Ideas from the Model Classroom, Bringing Literacy to Life, and Arts in Action workshops. Additionally, attendees will be awarded the Hands-On Happy! certificate and pin for completing this workshop series as part of our new Badge Dat! program. The Spend-A-Day-Experience runs from 8 AM to 3 PM, including breaks, and participants must attend all workshops.

What is the Spend-A-Day-Experience?
The Spend-A-Day-Experience is an opportunity for early childhood educators to complete a full-day series of workshops on a curated topic. From 8 AM-3 PM, participants will complete three sessions and engage in deep conversations and hands-on activities with their peers. After successfully completing the Spend-A-Day-Experience, participants will earn 6 clock hours as well as a certificate and collectible pin as part of our new Badge Dat! program.
Who is eligible to participate in Spend-A-Day-Experience?
Free registration is open to all Type III educators within Agenda for Children's service region.
Where will the workshop be held?
The workshop will be held at 8300 Earhart Blvd, Suite 103 in New Orleans.
Is there an option to attend virtually?
No, there are no virtual options for Spend-A-Day-Experiences.
What time are the workshops?
The workshops begin at 8 AM and end at 3 PM. There will be one 15 minute break and a 45 minute lunch break. You must complete the full day to earn clock hour credit. Please arrive at 7:45 AM to allow time to park and get situated.
Where do I park?
There is limited parking available in the lot in front of the building. Additional parking may be found in the surrounding neighborhood or in the empty lot behind the nearby Autozone.
What should I bring?
We suggest bringing a light sweater, water bottle, and a pen. You may also choose to bring snacks and a lunch as meals and food will not be provided. Our classroom has a refrigerator should your meal require refrigeration. You may also choose to leave for the 45 minute meal break and we can suggest nearby quick-stop restaurants. The workshops will resume as soon as the lunch break ends, and you must return on time when the break is over.
