ECHO Fund Grants

The Early Childhood Opportunity (ECHO) Fund is an innovative grant program that seeks to increase access to high-quality early care and education for Louisiana children, birth through age four, by directly funding childcare programs and the nonprofits that serve them.

Orleans Parish ECHO Facilities Emergency Fund Pilot (Cycle Closed)

The ECHO Facilities Emergency Fund Pilot, made possible through The Orleans Parish Early Childhood Education Millage, intends to support Family Childcare Centers (FCCs) with Academic Approval and Type III Early Learning Sites located in Orleans Parish in making repairs to their facilities resulting from qualifying emergencies to ensure safety for children and or reinstate operations.  

Eligible early childhood providers mitigating recent damage to facilities and/or applicable contents are encouraged to apply. 

Please note:

*Damage/Loss must be caused by a qualifying event/emergency.


*Reimbursements are not covered by this grant opportunity.  Providers must apply for and receive grant funding before repairs are completed or purchases made.

* A formal written estimate for any proposed repairs from a state-licensed commercial contractor must be submitted with application.
