You are the changemakers.
We’re here to help.
You have the power to create positive change for Louisiana’s children and families through legislation and policymaking.
Agenda for Children can provide the resources and data you need to build a stronger, more prosperous Louisiana.
Today’s Children, Tomorrow’s Economy
Louisiana’s future prosperity depends on our collective ability to make sure that children growing up in our state are healthy, safe and well-educated. In just 15 years, today’s first graders will enter adulthood and become the workforce of tomorrow. If we make the right decisions and investments in children now, we can build a strong, thriving Louisiana for future generations.
Agenda works with officials at all levels of government, including state and parish officials, to advocate for policies and programs that support Louisiana’s Children, their families, and early child care providers.

Advocate
Melanie Bronfin, a longtime member of Agenda’s Board of Advisors, founded the Louisiana Policy Institute for Children, where she fought relentlessly to raise awareness of young children’s needs and the need to adequately fund early care and education. She galvanized businesses, nonprofits and centers to support high quality early care and education.
Agenda worked with policymakers to successfully support amending SB142 to dedicate 25% of sports betting revenue up to $20 million annually to Louisiana Early Childhood Education Fund. We also supported the passage of HB601 which will dedicate 50% of revenue generated from New Orleans Pelicans specialty license plates to the Fund.
